Jihad Saleh

a Jordanian and Canadian citizen. I am a certified teacher and principal in Canada with a lifelong passion for soccer and education. Before becoming an educator, I had the privilege of playing professional soccer, and that experience shaped the way I see the game and the importance of discipline, teamwork, and development.

I hold all Community Courses, a Canada Soccer C Licence, and a B Diploma, which have allowed me to coach at a high level and bring international standards to my players. I started coaching very early—at just 19 years old as a head coach—and since then, I’ve had the honor of winning many trophies, coaching thousands of players, and mentoring hundreds of students and youth both in the classroom and on the field.

Over the years, I have coached with organizations such as the Africa Centre, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Free Play for Kids, and Edmonton Public Schools. I also worked with many local organizations and community centers including Dar Sunnah, Rashid Mosque, Salaam Centre, Clareview Multicultural Centre, and volunteered with the Mennonite Centre for Newcomers and Catholic Social Services. I am also the Founder and Technical Director of RESC, a club I built to give young players the opportunity to grow, compete, and chase their dreams.

My work has taken me beyond Canada as well. I serve as a scout for WOSPAC in Barcelona, ADP in the UK, and Olympic Sport Services in Dubai. I have coached in Bayern Munich Camps and Real Madrid Camps in Canada, and in 2023 I partnered with Espanyol Club (Spain) to create even more opportunities for Canadian players. Along the way, I have built a wide global network of clubs, coaches, scouts, and players, which allows me to connect talented youth with professional opportunities worldwide.

I am passionate about helping young players unlock their potential and providing them with a clear pathway to professional soccer, whether that means playing in top clubs across Europe or on the global stage. My mission is to use both my educational and soccer background to develop not only skilled athletes but also strong individuals who can succeed in life.

Also, I would like to pass my expertise to young youth to become professional coaches and develop their skills in order to coach at an early age under a strong supervision, therefore they will gain the right tools to be ready to be the best coaches ever.
